I don't even like the SP of the Bethesda Fallouts, so removing or neutering it in order tack on unecessary and nonsensical MP isn't really a selling point for me.
Complaining and reviewing works, people like you will read it and decide not to buy it if it's censored. But you're right, buying and moaning but rolling over doesn't change anything for the better, in fact it'd sooner get worse. Ok, let's not turn this discussion political. And Anthem, I despise gender-locked protagonists, I rarely ever play a female character because I simply don't identify from a female POV, neither do I enjoy playing dress-up with player made slooty dolls like some qu.

Personally I wasn't too fond of the fact they made a Fallout that required constant online connection, but it was said people can solo through the world AND it'll have mod support in private worlds. If PlayWay loses a ton of money on Agony, then next time they'll reconsider if it's smart to censor the next game they publish. If you hit these companies in their bottom line, the only thing they care about, they'll notice and change their tune.
You can't say "well, everyone else is doing it so I may as well" or "It's only $5." because that's exactly what they're counting on. If a comapny does something you don't like, don't give them money. I haven't bought Agony yet, and I still may not buy the Uncut version. People are raging about Fallout 76, but it will still sell very well, guaranteed. More often than not when they throw a fit about something, they roll over and buy it anyway, basically rewarding dev/publisher malfeasance and telling them that it's ok to do those things. Gamers, though, are very lazy and complacent. That's the thing, people need to take a stand.
This would never have happened if the reviews were good and people didn't stand together to complain about said censorship. Published not by PlayWay but by themselves. Look at Agony, they censored the crap out of it but they did tell us the truth about that, and the fanbase complained together, it went at the cost of their review scores, now, Agony Unrated will be released somewhere. The fanbase is a developers' greatest asset, they want to leave a good impression for their own future and profits to come. If we want something changed, we need to complain about it together. The latter can do more than you think, provided we all stand together on the same issue.
